One of the top guards in California history … named Cal's MVP three straight years from 1966-68, leading the team in scoring and assists each season … earned first team All-America honors in 1968 as named by the Helms Athletic Federation … also was an honorable mention selection as a junior in 1967 … a unanimous first team all-conference pick as a senior after earning first team honors as a junior … at the completion of his Cal career, ranked second on the all-time scoring list with 1,437 points and was just the second player in Cal history to score more than a thousand points in his career  … also at the end of his collegiate career, set the record for career scoring average at 19.4, which was nearly four points higher than the previous record … averaged 15.5 points as a sophomore and then put back-to-back 21.0 ppg (junior) and 22.0 ppg (senior) seasons together … at the time, established the record for most points in a season during the 1967 campaign (545 points) … had a pair of 36 point games, vs. Texas in 1965 as a sophomore and again in 1968 vs. Oregon … was an assistant coach at Cal from 1977-85 … served as an assistant at Washington under Lynn Nance four seasons through 1993.
