A talented and versatile athlete who made his mark in both basketball and rugby … led the Cal basketball team to undefeated seasons in 1926 and '27 while being voted the best guard in the Pacific Coast Conference … earned All-America mention in both '26 and '27 while helping Cal to PCC titles both years … earned an Olympic Gold Medal in rugby as a part of the United States team which defeated France in the Olympic Finals in Paris in 1924.
