The 1936 graduate was a prolific hurdler for Cal... tied the world record in the 120 yard high hurdles at 14.2... helped the Bears to a tie for third place at the 1935 NCAA Championship... won the United States National Championship in the 400m hurdles in 1935 with a time of 53.5... After his athletic career was over, Moore served as the Meet Director for the Modesto Relays for many years... the Modesto Relays were eventually named the Tom Moore Modesto Relays.
