California Athletics Hall of Fame
Anna McCune Harper was nationally ranked in the top 10 in singles from 1928 until 1932. She was ranked No. 1 in 1930, won the Pacific Coast singles championship in 1929 and finished as the runner-up in the USTA singles championship in 1930. With George Lott as her partner, Harper won the mixed doubles championship at Wimbledon in 1931. She was also the runner-up in women’s doubles at the 1928, 1930 and 1932 U.S. Championships. Harper was a member of the Wightman Cup team in 1931 and 1932 and was inducted into the USTA NorCal Hall of Fame in 1974.
