At the time of his graduation was Cal's leading all-time scorer with 1,655 points in his four years as a starter from 1984 to ‘87 … rates with Jason Kidd as the quickest guards in Cal history … earned first team Pac-10 honors as both a junior and senior, helping Cal to NIT berths both years, the program's first post-season appearances in 26 seasons … averaged 15.6 points as a junior and 17.2 points as a senior … established himself on several Cal Top 10 career lists, holding the following spots at the time he graduated, including field goals made (2nd with 601), FG attempted (4th with 1,259), free throws made (3rd with 405), free throws attempted (3rd with 535), assists (1st with 521), steals (2nd with 155) and games played (2nd with 118) … had 27 career 20-point games in his career with three 30-point games … scored 30 points in Cal's NIT win over Cal State Fullerton in 1987 and poured in 31 points against Stanford and USC that same year … earned honorable mention All-America honors as a senior by  A.P. and U.P.I … was a lottery pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers, as the seventh player selected in the 1987 draft … traded in 1988 to Phoenix, where he starred for the next 9 seasons … was selected as part of the U.S. team in 1992, dubbed the Dream Team II, winning a gold medal for the U.S in the World Championships … has his jersey retired during a ceremony at Cal in 1992, becoming the first basketball player at Cal to receive this honor … named to Pac-10 Hall of Honor in 2003.
