A superb all-around baseball player who established several Cal career records … when graduated owned school career records in games played (244), at bats (903), runs (230), RBI (189), game-winning RBI (18), home runs (32) total bases (445), stolen bases (187) and walks (180) … also established single season records in many of the same categories … earned All-America honors as a third baseman as a junior in 1985 … earned all-conference honors all four seasons, as a utility player in 1983 and '84, as a third baseman in '85 and as an outfielder in '86 … played pro baseball with the Oakland A's from 1988 to '94.
