California Athletics Hall of Fame
Peter Asch lettered on the Cal water polo team for three years (1967-69) and earned All-America honors in each of the three years. He stood out on the 1969 team that finished second in the NCAAs and was team captain in '68 and '69. Asch was a member of the 1972 U.S. Olympic team that won a bronze medal and the 1971 Pan American Games team that won a gold medal. He was also on the ‘75 Pan American Games team and was a part of the U.S. team at the 1973 World Championships that won a bronze medal. He was the U.S. Water Polo Player of the Year, the sport's Sullivan Award nominee and an inductee in the U.S. Water Polo Hall of Fame.
