She was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after posting a 4-0 record with a 0.50 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 28.0 innings of work at the Women’s College World Series. Forest completed her senior year with a 29-12 record and a 1.11 ERA. A two-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection, she was named a second-team All-American in both 2001 and ’02. Forest won at least 20 games and helped Cal to the WCWS during each of her four years, finishing with 103 victories, 993.2 innings pitched and 1,203 strikeouts. In addition, she was voted the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA regional at UMass as a freshman when she helped the Bears to a tie for third in the national tournament.
