- Selected 277th overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the ninth round in the 2022 MLB First-Year Player Draft
- Led Cal in innings pitched (72.2), starts (14) & wins (5) in a quality junior season on the mound
- Was 5-3 & posted a 3.72 ERA with 60 strikeouts to just 15 walks
- Put Cal in position to win frequently, as the Golden Bears were 9-5 in games started by King
- Ranked third in the Pac-12 with 1.86 walks allowed per nine innings
