Fall 2022: Veteran midfielder's free kick set up Nate Carrasco's goal in an eventual 1-1 tie with UC Irvine...Martinez also assisted on Fahmi Ibrahim's gamewinner vs. Saint Mary's, in the 81st minute of a 1-0 result over the Gaels in Berkeley.
Fall 2021: Started 13 of 15 games played and assisted on two goals…recorded both assists in the 4-3 win over UNLV on Sept. 5 in Berkeley, where Martinez set up Cal’s second goal (by Evan Davila in the 4th minute) and winning goal (by Shoei Honda in the 84th minute).
Spring 2021: Creative playmaker and attacking player played in all 10 games and started four…scored his first collegiate goal in Cal’s 1-0 upset of No. 3 Oregon State on March 28 in Berkeley.
2019: Provided depth to the midfield, playing in seven games off the bench.
Personal/Previous: American studies major...originally from Madrid, Spain, the Coronado High School product also played for Albion SC.
