Alief Taylor HS (Class Of 2018)
• Had a breakthrough season as a 2017 senior when he recorded 64 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries to earn a nomination for Houston’s Defensive End of the Year honors
• Team finished 9-2 overall, won a share of the 6A Region II District 23 title with a 5-1 mark and reached the opening round of the 6A D1 state football playoffs in Texas during his 2016 junior campaign
• Posted a career-high 11 tackles as a senior against Alief Elsik for one of his three double-digit tackle games in his final prep campaign
• Had career-highs of 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles against Dekaney as a senior
• Also on varsity basketball teams as a 2016-17 junior and 2017-18 senior with his senior squad sporting a 24-12 record and reaching the semifinals of the 6A Regions 1 & 3 state basketball tournament after his junior club finished 21-13 overall and reached the second round of the same postseason events
• Wore No. 3 in both basketball and football
