- Rowed in Cal's V8+ that just missed out on advancing to the semifinal round of the Island Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta in 2022.
As a Senior (2025):
- Rowed in the V4+ that placed third in the Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic.
- Rowed in the 2V4+ that swept No. 10 Virginia (scratch) and No. 11 Syracuse at the ACC Challenge.
- Rowed in the 2V4+ that defeated Washington in the duel against the Huskies.
- Rowed in the 2V8+ in the Big Row against Stanford.
- Rowed in the 2V8+ that finished sixth at the ACC Championships.
As a Junior (2024):
- Rowed in the 2V8+ that finished third in the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy Final at the San Diego Crew Classic.
- Rowed in the 2V8+ that swept No. 8 Syracuse, No. 11 Virginia and No. 18 Oregon State at the ACC/Pac-12 Invite.
- Rowed in the 2V8+ that defeated No. 7 Washington to reclaim the Simpson Cup in the Washington dual.
- Rowed in the V4+ in the Big Row against Stanford.
- Rowed in the V4+ that finished third at the Pac-12 Championships to help the team finish second overall – its highest finish since 2018.
- Rowed in the V4+ that finished third in the Petite Final at the NCAA Championships.
As a Sophomore (2023):
- Rowed in the 2V8+ that placed third in the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy final at the San Diego Crew Classic.
- Rowed in the V4+ in the Washington dual.
- Rowed in the 2V4+ that defeated SMU and in the V4+ that defeated Iowa at the Pac-12 Challenge.
- Rowed in the 3V8+ that placed second at the Pac-12 Championships.
- Rowed in the V4+ that won the Petite final at the NCAA Championships.
As a Freshman (2022):
- Raced in the V4+ that won the NCAA Championship
- Raced in the V4+ that finished fourth at the Pac-12 Championships.
- Raced in the 2V8+ in the dual against Washington.
- Raced in the 2V8+ that finished second at the Las Vegas Invitational.
- Raced in the 2V8+ that took second at the San Diego Crew Classic.
High School/Club: Rowed for RowAmerican Rye (RAR) and coach Marko Serafimovski...named the Most Improved Rower in 2018, 19, and 20 and the Most Valuable Rower in 2021...helped her boat take first in the V8+ Hod of the Charles in 2019 and helped her V4+ boat take second in the 2019 Youth Nationals...also helped her V8+ boat take second at the 2021 Youth Nationals.
Personal: Parents are Maureen and Doug McDermott..has three siblings, sisters Maggie and Molly and a younger brother named Tyler...was a member of the National Honors Society in high school...hobbies include hiking and biking.
