Fall 2007: Named team captain for the 2007-08 season... completed fall tournaments with a 10-5 singles mark, including five consecutive victories to claim the Chandler Cup B flight singles title... advanced through two rounds of play at the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championship tournament... in doubles play, went 7-5 in all matches, advancing to the B Flight final at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic with partner Zach Gilbert... advanced to the doubles tournament quarterfinal at the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championship.
2006-07: Earned 22 victories in all singles matches, good for second best on the team (11-2 on courts No. 5 and No. 6)... advanced to the round of 16 in the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championship... collected additional wins in the Napa Valley Classic and the Bronco Classic... his fall singles record of 6-4 was the third best among Cal players.
2005-06: Put together a five-match winning streak in March, going 13-9 during the dual season (8-7 on the fifth court)... advanced to the round of 16 at the 2005 Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championship.
2004-05: Capped off freshman campaign by going 3-0 in the Pac-10 Singles Championship tournament... posted an upset victory of No. 50 Philipp Gruendler of UCLA.
Personal: Born in Miyazaki, Japan... parents are Toshihiko and Kumiko Nakahara... Political Economies of Industrial Societies major... held the No. 1 national ranking in Japan in 2003.
