Placed second with Cal's 800-yard freestyle relay at the 2012 NCAA Championships with a time of 6:57.50.
Finished 13th in the 200 freestyle at 2012 NCAAs with a time of 1:45.41.
Took 23rd in the 200 IM at 2012 NCAAs with a time of 1:58.56.
Placed 50th in the 100-yard freestyle at 2012 NCAAs with a time of 49.94.
Swam on the victorious 800-yard freestyle relay at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships with a time of 6:57.86.
Placed eighth in the 200 free at 2012 Pac-12s with a time of 1:46.54.

At the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships, swam the second leg on the Colorado Stars' victorious 800-meter freestyle relay (8:07.45).
Swam on winning 400-meter freestyle relay (3:48.52) for the Colorado Stars at the 2009 Speedo Junior National Championships.
Set Colorado state records in the 200 IM and 100 free.
Strong academically, Piehl was an AP Scholar, 4-year Honor Roll student and an Academic All-American.
