Jada Faison Scores First Collegiate Goal
BERKELEY, Calif. – The California Golden Bears defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs 2-0 in a Sunday afternoon matchup.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half.
Jada Faison opened the scoring in the 46th minute, netting her first goal as a Golden Bear off an assist from Elhom Khursand.
Lizzie Vranesh added the Bears' second goal of the match, marking her first goal of the season and second of her career.
Liya Nartey and Cara Borthwick made their first career starts for the Bears, while Amelie Hoppe made her first start of the 2026 season. Skye Hair and Hope Luebbe Davidson each made their collegiate debuts.
The Bears will return to ACC play on the road against Duke and Stanford before returning home Thursday, Oct. 22, to host SMU at 12 p.m. PT. All games will air on ACCNX.
