Doherty Scores Second Career Goal
CHESTNUT HILLS, Mass. – The California women's soccer team defeated Boston College in a Thursday evening matchup at Newton Soccer Field, earning its first ACC win of the season. The Bears improved to 3-4-4 overall and 1-2-1 in ACC play.
Reese Doherty gave the Bears the lead with an assist from Miriam Hils in the 36th minute, sending Cal into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.
Alyssa Savig made her return for Cal and recorded four saves in the shutout victory. The Eagles were unable to find the back of the net for the entirety of the matchup.
The Bears return home Sunday for their final nonconference matchup against Fresno State. The match will air on ACCNX.
