Bears Earn First ACC Draw Against Louisville

Hoppe Earns First Career Goal
BERKELEY, Calif. – The California women's soccer team tied Louisville in a Saturday afternoon matchup at Edwards Stadium, earning the Bears' first draw of ACC play.
Louisville opened the scoring in the 35th minute, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Amelie Hoppe tied the match with the first goal of her career. Neither team found the back of the net for the remainder of the match, resulting in a draw.
Mia Van More made her first start of the season for the Bears.
The Bears return home next Sunday for their final nonconference matchup against Fresno State. The match will air on ESPN+.
