As a Sophomore (2023): Appeared in one meet for Cal, posting a score of 12.050 on parallel bars.

As a Freshman (2022): Appeared in four meets… set career highs on the parallel bars (13.200), floor (12.450) and pommel horse (10.600).

CLUB: Competed for the West Coast Olympic Gymnastics Academy, including being team captain from 2019-21, while attending Newark Memorial High School...accolades include being a national silver medalist on floor and high bar in 2018, regional parallel bar champion in 2019 and a third-place finish on the 2019 NorCal All-Star Team...finished fourth with the NorCal All-Star Team in 2018.

PERSONAL: Majoring in integrative biology with an emphasis in human anatomy... son of Hisako Akagi and Shigehito Shimizu... brother Tyler also competes on Cal's gymnastics team.
