AS A FRESHMAN (2011):

- Was utilized primarily as a bullpen catcher for the Bears

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:

- Spent four years playing on the varsity team at Montgomery Blair High School, serving as team captain his senior season
- Was the Team MVP, first team All-County, and First Team Washington Post All-Extra
- Helped Montgomery County win the Maryland Battle of the Counties tournament
- Played in the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League in the summer
