Set for its third ACC season, the California baseball team announced its 2027 schedule Tuesday, unveiling a 54-game slate that features 32 games to be played at home at Stu Gordon Stadium. The schedule features a tough set of opponents, including seven 2026 NCAA Regional teams and national runner-up North Carolina.

The season begins with a four-game series at home against UC Irvine, with Opening Day set for Feb. 19. Cal took two of three from the Anteaters at Irvine last year.
The Golden Bears also will host Santa Clara (Feb. 26-27), North Dakota State (March 5-7), Miami (March 19-21), Pitt (April 2-4), Wake Forest (April 9-11), Notre Dame (April 23-25), Duke (May 7-9), and Pacific (May 14 + 16) in weekend series at Evans Diamond. It will be the first-ever trip to Berkeley for the Hurricanes, Demon Deacons and Panthers, and the Fighting Irish's first time at Cal since 1961.
ACC play begins on the road at Virginia Tech (March 12-14) and Cal also will visit Florida State (March 25-27), a team that finished last season ranked in the top 20, as well as Clemson (April 16-18), NC State (April 29-May 1), and UNC (May 20-22).
With Stanford not on the conference schedule this season, Cal will play a home-and-home with the rival Cardinal, hosting it on April 5 and making the trip to Sunken Diamond on May 17.
The ACC Championship is back at Durham Bulls Athletic Park where the "6 a.m. Bears" made their conference-tournament debut in 2025 and picked up impressive wins over Miami and Wake Forest that catapulted them into the national spotlight. The championship will take place May 25-30, with the NCAA Selection Show scheduled for Monday, May 31.
Cal is coming off a 29-26 record in 2026 when it finished its ACC slate on an 11-7 run, winning four of its final six series, over Pitt, Louisville, Virginia and Stanford.
The Bears return a handful of players from last year's roster, including several promising sophomore arms who pitched a ton of innings as freshmen, and an infield that D1Baseball has dubbed as one of the best in the country this year. It is led by Freshman All-American shortstop Jett Kenady and second baseman Jacob French in the middle. Third baseman Cade Campbell returns for one final year and power-hitting Oregon State-transfer Jacob Krieg was added to hold down first.
