Cal, UCLA Feature NCAA Stat Leaders
When Cal takes on UCLA on Saturday in the Rose Bowl, several of the nation's top statistical leaders will be on display. Cal receiver Bobby Shaw, who was named on Tuesday as one of 10 semi-finalists for the Fred Biletnifoff Award given to the nation's top reciver, is currently ranked third in the nation in receiving yards (133.2 ypg) while he's tied for third nationally with 8.0 receptions per game. If he continues on his current pace, he'd end the year with 88 catches (just 2 shy of the Pac-10 record of 90 held by Keyshawn Johnson. UCLA features the nation's fourth leading quarterback in Cade McNown. Last year, McNown hit 16-of-28 passes against Cal for 273 yards with 1 touchdown. Kato Serwanga did make one interception against McNown last year. Both Cal and UCLA rank in the NCAA Top 20 in total offense and passing offense, with the Bears holding the edge in both categories.
