Bears to Honor Nine Seniors Sunday Against NC State
Following a 3-1 loss to SMU, the California women's soccer team is set to host two ACC opponents this week, facing No. 17 Notre Dame on Thursday and NC State on Sunday. The Golden Bears enter the week with a 4-6-5 overall record (1-4-2 ACC).
The Bears and Fighting Irish last met in October 2024, when Notre Dame earned a 5-2 victory over Cal. Thursday's contest will mark just the second meeting between the two programs.
The Bears and Wolfpack last met in September 2024, when Cal earned a 3-1 victory over NC State. Sunday's contest will also mark just the second meeting between the two programs.
Cal will look to bounce back from consecutive ACC losses as it closes out its regular-season home schedule.
Sunday's match will also serve as Cal women's soccer's Senior Day, during which the Bears will honor the nine seniors and graduate students on the 2026 roster. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the pregame ceremony.
