Vasileios Iliopoulos

Vas Iliopoulos joined Cal Athletics in 2021 and currently serves as the Director of Revenue Accounting & Data Analysis. In this role, Iliopoulos oversees daily revenue operations, data reporting, and business intelligence efforts that support ticketing, marketing, and other revenue-generating initiatives across all sports. He collaborates across departments on business strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to inform financial planning and operational decision-making. Iliopoulos has served as an assistant coach for the men’s tennis program.

He leads sports performance and data integration projects with the Cameron Institute, combining his background in analytics with on-court coaching experience to help optimize student-athlete development and recruiting for the department.

Before joining Cal, Iliopoulos worked in professional sports with the Golden State Warriors, Oakland Athletics, and San Jose Earthquakes, focusing on data analysis and fan engagement. A former Division I men’s tennis player and team captain at Santa Clara University, he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance and analytics and is currently pursuing his MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Originally from Athens, Greece, Iliopoulos is passionate about the intersection of data, performance, and innovation in the business of sports. He lives in Berkeley with his dog, Chloe.
