Ann Caslin currently serves as an Associate Athletic Trainer supporting the Women's and Men's Water Polo programs. During her 20 plus years at Cal, Caslin has worked with the 2013 Women's Basketball Final 4 Team, the 2015 Women's Swimming & Diving National Champions, the back-to-back 2023 / 2024 Men's Water Polo National Champions, and over 20 Olympians. Â
Caslin arrived on campus in the summer of 2005 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Â Since then, she has supported the health and well being of Intercollegiate Student Athletes from a variety of teams including Football, Women's Golf, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Women's Basketball, and Women's Tennis. Â
Caslin is a member of the Intercollegiate Athletics Mental Health Team, a collaborative group of medical and mental health professionals who work to support the Mental Health needs of Cal Student Athletes. Caslin has also served on the UC Berkeley Chancellors Advisory Committee, assisting in the updating and implementation of the Transgender and Non-Binary Student Athlete Participation Guidelines for Cal Athletics, and completed the Cal Athletics Emerging Leaders program.Â
Prior to coming to Cal, Caslin served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Stanford University and an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Caslin is a Bay Area native, born in Oakland and raised in Fremont, CA. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education with an Athletic Training Option, as well as a Physical Education Teaching Credential from California State University, Hayward. Caslin earned her Masters of Arts in Human Performance from San Jose State University.
