- Saw his first game action as a Golden Bear in 2017 and contributed one field block apiece in matches against Santa Clara and San Jose State.
- Joined the Bears for the 2016 season and redshirted.
- Local product starred at Tamalpais High School for head coach Bob Kustel. Was a four-time All-Marin County Athletic League performer and was named team MVP in 2015.
- Named a sixth-team All-American in 2015. Also named an All-North Coast Section Division II first team selection in both 2015 and 2014.
- Helped Tamalpais reach the North Coast Section championship match in 2015 for the first time in over 16 years. Ended his career as Tam's all-time leading scorer.
- Also played for Sleepy Hollow Aquatic Club under coach Matt Swanson.
- Three-year letterman in swimming for Tamalpais was a 2016 All-American in the 200 freestyle relay. Also lettered one year in volleyball.
