McCune Harper was nationally ranked in the top ten singles from 1928 until 1932 … she was ranked No. 1 in 1930 … she was the Pacific Coast singles champion in 1929 and runner-up USTA singles champion in 1930 … with George Lott as her partner, she won the mixed doubles championship at Wimbledon in 1931 … also the runner-up in women’s doubles at the 1928, ’30 and ‘32 U.S. Championships … she was a member of the Wightman Cup team in 1931 and 1932.
