Lettered on the Cal water polo team for three years between 1967 and ‘69 … earned All-America honors in each of those three years … stood out on the 1969 team that finished second in the NCAAs … was team captain in '68 and '69 … a member of the 1972 U.S. Olympic team and the 1971 and ‘75 Pan American Games teams … helped U.S. win bronze medal in 1972 and Pan Am Games gold medal in '71 … also was a part of the bronze medal U.S. team at the 1973 World Championships … was the U.S. Water Polo Player of the Year and was the sport's Sullivan Award nominee … an inductee in the U.S. Water Polo Hall of Fame.
