A great all-around athlete with immense potential...ended up playing
quarterback much of his senior year after an injury to teammate Ryan McCann
who went to UCLA on scholarship...caught 61 passes for 880 yards and 6 TDs
as a junior and senior...as a QB, he completed 25-of-45 passes for 350
yaards and 3 TDs, also running for 4 TDs and catching 2 other TDs as a
tight end...earned SuperPrep All-Far West honors, rating as the No. 104
overall prosepct in the region...member of the PrepStar Western Region team
as the No. 11 tight end prospect...earned first team Marmonte League and
Ventura County honors...also a superb prep basketball player who was
recruited by several schools for hoops...scored 41 points in a game as a
sophomore...earned all-league and all-county honors in hoops...figures to
play in the 235 to 245-pound range as a collegian and could really blossom
as he matures and gains strength...chose Cal after considering BYU,
Colorado State and Arizona State, among others...lists water skiing and
weight lifting among his hobbies...born Jan. 8, 1980 in Van Nuys, CA.
