AS A FRESHMAN (2004): Had 13 starts in left field and five starts as a designated hitter, batting .284 (21-for-74) with five doubles, a triple, four home runs and 15 RBI...had a .321 average against Pac-10 competition...hit a two-run homer in his first collegiate at-bat, and had another two-run homer in the eighth inning versus BYU Jan. 29...finished the first BYU game 3-for-3 with four RBI...went 2-for-3 with a home run and career-high four RBI at Sacramento State Apr. 27...finished the season on a four-game hitting streak, including going 5-for-12 with a double and two RBI at Washington State...
