4 Cal Cross Country/Track & Field Athletes Earn Repeat Honors
11 members of the California cross country and track & field teams have been named Academic All-District honorees, as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must bear a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better and be at least an academic sophomore. They must also have placed among the top 50 at the NCAA Cross Country Regionals or be ranked among the top 50 regionally in a single event, indoor or outdoor.
Four Golden Bears (Luke Buddie, Justin Pretre, Will Siemens and Mari Testa) were recognized for the second year in a row, while the other seven earned their first career honor.
