Cal Drops Finale Of Road Trip At No. 13 Notre Dame

Golden Bears To Return Home For 2 Of Final 3 Regular-Season Contests

NOTRE DAME, IN - The California lacrosse team fell 17-4 to No. 13 Notre Dame in an ACC lacrosse contest and the finale of a three-game road trip on Saturday at Arlotta Family Lacrosse Stadium. Cal never led in the contest.

Willow Cyr, Alina Hsu, Maddie Willkomm and Meaghan Lynch each had a goal for the Golden Bears (6-8, 1-6 ACC), while Avery Hoeft posted her team and career-high 19th assist on Lynch's first career goal with 0:07 remaining in the contest. Cyr's goal came in the first period, while Hsu found the back of the net in her first career start in the third and Willkomm in the fourth.

Goalkeeper Chloe Rand tied a career-high with 10 saves in her first start of the season and the second of her career for Cal. Lulu Murphy relieved Rand in the fourth and had two saves while allowing just a single goal.

Four players had multiple goals for Notre Dame (9-3, 4-3 ACC). Madison Rassas led the way with four, while Charley Bacigalupo, Grace Maroney and Kate Timarky had hat tricks, and Emma Murphy added two. All of the multiple-goal scorers other than Timarky also had one assist.

Cal returns home for its next contest to host No. 10 Clemson in an Atlantic Coast Conference game on Friday. The Bears will also host Virginia Tech in their final home game of the 2026 season and Senior Day on Saturday, Apr. 11. Both games can be watched live on ACCNX/ESPN+. First draw for both contests is 3 pm PT.
