In his debut as a Bear, sophomore Michael Cooper served up a game-high 24 points, landing a career-high six 3-pointers along the way. Sammie Yeanay (21 points) and Nojus Indrusaitis (20 points) set new career scoring highs for themselves. Indrusaitis and Cooper were two of eight Bears seeing their first official minutes for Cal. Sophomore transfer Jake Wilkins and senior transfer Jordan Ross also hit double figures with 12 points apiece the help pace the hot-handed hosts.

Cal's 3-point prowess shined in a 9-0 run by the Bears, with Indrusaitis and Cooper both nailing threes around a three-point play from Jordan Ross to build out an early 31-14 advantage. The Bears went big with back-to-back dunks later in the half, first from Indrusaitis off a feed from Cooper and then from Yeanay following a TT Carr steal.
