Four Players Head to the ITA Northwest Regional Championships

The Bears will compete Oct. 8-12 in Stanford, CA
The Bears will compete in the ITA Northwest Regionals at Stanford, Thursday through Tuesday. The team will be represented by Laura Cilekova, Nika Hurkacz, Mille Johanna Moerk, and Naomi Xu, the same four players who played last week at the Battle in the Bay Classic.
All four players will be competing in the singles main draw. Hurkacz/Xu will be competing in the doubles main draw, as will Cilekova/Moerk.
The tournament is hosted by Stanford, and includes more than 100 women's tennis players from the Northwest region.
Similar to ITA All-Americans, there's an opportunity to qualify for NCAA Individuals if a player reaches the singles finals in the ITA Northwest Regionals.
Last week at the Battle in the Bay, Cilekova and Moerk won the doubles consolation draw and Hurkacz made it to the singles semifinals. The Bears hope to build on that success in the ITA Northwest Regionals.
