Bears To Tee Off At Stanford
10/14/2026 12:00 PM | Women's Golf
All Golfers Will Play In Honor Of Cal Alumna Christine Romer
The California women's golf team will compete at the Stanford Intercollegiate this weekend on the Stanford Golf Course. The three-day tournament —hosted by former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice — will tee off Friday and conclude Sunday.
The Bears are coming off a third-place finish at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Kansas. All five Bears finished in the top 30, led by senior Constance Fouillet, who finished 1-over par for a third-place tie. Zoe Jiamankookit and Michelle Woo both tied for 16th place. Giselle Zhoa tied for 24th place with a 15-over par and Jasmine Kahler carded a 17-over par for a 30th-place tie.
The Stanford Intercollegiate tournament will also be a Play4Her initiative, honoring those who have fought, are fighting or may one day fight breast cancer. All proceeds from this weekend will help advance life-saving research and technologies to fight against breast cancer. This year, all competitors will play in honor of Cal alumna Christine Romer. Romer was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in her late twenties. She later guided former Cal coach Nancy McDaniels through her cancer diagnosis and became a health advocate.
