WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The California women's rowing team's varsity four won the petite final Sunday on the final day of the 2025 NCAA Championships on Mercer Lake.

The crew of coxswain Kira Obsitnik and Vivi Spitz, Annie Brown, Ella Lewerenz and Alexandra Pearson finished the course in a time of 7:06.197, more than four seconds ahead of runner-up Syracuse.

Both of the Golden Bears' eights also competed in petite finals Sunday, with their varsity eight placing fourth with a time of 6:16.996. Cal's 2V8 was fifth in its petite final with a mark of 6:32.136.

The Golden Bears finished in a tie for ninth with Rutgers in the overall points standings with 79.

"The team did a great job this weekend," Cal head coach Al Acosta said. "I"m grateful for the leadership of the senior class. They gave their heart and soul to this team and have left it better than they found it, and well prepared to take a step up next year. I'm also grateful to all the alums, families and coaches who have supported 50 years of women's rowing at Cal."
