BERKELEY – The California softball team (32-18, 8-13 ACC) earned a shutout victory against No. 14 Virginia Tech (39-8, 17-4), 4-0, Sunday in the final game at Levine-Fricke Field.
In her final start in Strawberry Canyon, Annabelle Teperson celebrated senior day after recording the fourth shutout victory of her career. The Golden Bears also honored seniors

After a scoreless game through five and a half innings of action,
Kaylee Pond came up clutch for the Golden Bears in the bottom of the fifth after launching a three-run home run, her fourth of the season, over the right-field wall to score the first runs of the game to give the Bears a 3-0 advantage.
In the sixth inning,
Lagi Quiroga knocked in a base hit of the first base plate as
Mia Phillips raced home from second to increase the lead to 4-0.
Teperson held the high-powered offense of the Hokies to only five hits after facing 27 batters to give Virginia Tech its first shutout loss of the season.

Cal will conclude the 2025 regular season on the East Coast with a three-game set against Syracuse beginning on Friday to clinch a spot in the 2025 ACC Softball Championship.
