Opening statement
"We've all been here as players and coaches when it comes down to penalty kicks. It's not the greatest way to win, and it's the worst way to lose. We're probably in a state of shock right now. But at the end of the day, not many teams could have taken a great team like Akron to the wire like we did tonight. I think we have to be proud of our team and the way we played, and the way we fought back in the match. Today was a 50-50 game; anybody could've won. They scored more penalty kicks than we did, so we wish them well in the next game."
On Cal's team strengths coming into this game
"We had a very good counterattack and great team speed. Our defending is very solid and obviously [we have] good goalkeeping as you saw tonight."
On if this was Cal's first game played in the snow this season
"Yes."
On if the snow affected the Bears' play tonight
"No, they weren't bothered by it one single bit. It had no affect on the game."
On if the snow affected Akron's players tonight
"I don't know. You'd have to ask Caleb [Porter, Akron's coach], but it didn't bother us at all."
