Personal/Previous: Undeclared major…Svendsen clinched No. 16 Cal’s 4-3 win over No. 17 UCLA in her debut as a Bear on Jan. 30, 2026…she has career-best WTA rankings of 361 in singles and 516 in doubles…in early January 2026, Svendsen had a WTA singles ranking of 569 and was the second-highest ranked Danish player in the world behind 14th-ranked Clara Tauson…Svendsen has extensive experience playing for Denmark in the Billie Jean King Cup, competing in tournaments between 2022 and 2025…the right-hander played in BJK Cup qualifiers in spring 2025 against the United States, Slovakia and Canada, and in November 2025 she represented Denmark in the playoffs against Mexico and Canada…in 2022, she played in all four of the junior major tournaments, with highlights including reaching the singles third round and doubles quarterfinals at Roland Garros and advancing to the doubles semifinals at the Australian Open….Svendsen has captured three ITF singles titles and four ITA doubles crowns, including singles and doubles wins in June 2025 at the Rokitki Park Open, a W15 clay-court tournament in Gdansk, Poland, where Svendsen partnered with former Cal star Valentina Ivanov to win in doubles…in 2025, Svendsen reached the doubles final of the W15 Haren in the Netherlands in September, the singles final of the W35 Berkeley in September and the singles semifinals of the W35 San Rafael in October.
