Meghin Williams was named general manager for the California women's basketball team in April 2025. Williams joined the Golden Bears after spending the 2024-25 season as an assistant athletics director, chief of staff for Virginia Tech women’s basketball. At Cal, her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing revenue-sharing initiatives, NIL partnerships, driving revenue growth, roster-building strategies and overall program operations.

As general manager at Virginia Tech during the 2024-25 season, Williams was responsible for donor relations, NIL activities, budgeting and student-athlete engagement. She implemented a strategic NIL fundraising plan, managed the program’s operating budget and oversaw several key capital projects - which included a locker room and women’s basketball offices.

Prior to Virginia Tech, Williams served as assistant to the athletics director and director of operations at the University of North Carolina from 2019-2021. She managed the team’s operating budget and daily business operations, identified new business opportunities and drove a significant increase in donor revenue. Williams also oversaw daily operational activities for the marketing, community and operations departments.

From 2018-19, Williams was an assistant director of internal operations at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, where she managed donor engagement activities that resulted in a 110% increase in donor memberships. She also was the director of operations at Princeton University from 2016-18 where she assisted with donor relations and implemented a marketing plan that saw a 110% increase in student attendance.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Williams helped the Cornhuskers to two NCAA Sweet 16 appearances during her playing career, from 2009-13.
