As a Redshirt Junior (2025): MPSF Vault Champion… All-MPSF (Vault)… posted a score of 14.366 on vault at the NCAA Championships Final… qualified for the NCAA Final with the top vault score of either session (14.533, the best score by any Bear that year) at the NCAA Championships Qualifier… was named Cal’s first MPSF Champion since 2018 – and its first conference vault champion since 1987 – after posting a score of 14.250 at the MPSF Championships… scored 14.150 on vault and 13.450 on pommel horse on Senior Day... CGA First-Team Academic All-American... ACC Academic Honor Roll... winner of Cal's Keeney-Frey Award... received the Golden Bear Award for his team-high GPA.

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2024): Regular-Season All-American (Vault)… All-MPSF (Vault)… finished the year ranked sixth in the nation on vault… reached the NCAA Final on vault after posting a 14.566 in the NCAA Qualifier… recorded five separate vault scores of 14.700 during the season, including a second-place finish at the MPSF Championships… received Cal’s Golden Bear Achievement Award for having the highest GPA on the team… CGA First-Team Academic All-American... CSC Academic All-District... Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll… MPSF All-Academic.

As a Redshirt Freshman (2023): Posted four entries on Cal's modern program vault list, including the school record (14.850)... CGA Regular Season All-American (Vault)... As a Freshman (2022): Did not compete.

CLUB: Since 2006, he has competed for Elite Men's Artistic Gymnast at Woking Gymnastics Club in the UK...named 2019 Young Sports Personality of the Year at the Woking Sports Awards... at the U18 2019 London Men's Open, won gold on floor (14.10) and vault (14.50)... his floor score was a personal best...at the U18 FIG Junior World Championships, won bronze on vault (14.466)...earned gold on vault at the 2018 London Men's Open (14.750) and the 2016 U14 British Championships...at the 2018 British Championships, Smith-Gordon won bronze in the all-around (73.40).

PERSONAL: Majoring in business administration and economics... parents are Lionel and Kumi Smith-Gordon... born in Singapore... volunteered with his high school to South Africa, aiding the local community in clearing farm land, making large quantities of food for the town and made bonds with the children in a disability school.
