Travis Nutter begins his first year as a volunteer assistant coach at Cal, specializing in the hammer.

Nutter is currently a public school teacher and an Olympic hopeful in the hammer. In 2005, he finished in the top three at the USA Olympic trials, but fell short of the "A" standard.
