A native of Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy by way of Newport Beach, Calif., Cupido will enter his third year at Cal in 2016. He earned first team All-America and first team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) honors in 2015 after scoring 43 goals and tallying 46 assists and 48 ejections earned. He also earned All-NCAA Tournament honors for helping the Bears take third in 2015. Cupido began to make his mark internationally for Team USA in 2015 by scoring 16 goals en route to a gold medal at the Pan American Games. His goal with two seconds left carried Team USA to a 10-9 win over Australia in the gold medal match of the 2016 FINA Intercontinental Tournament in Japan.
