Cal Hosts Stanford Dec. 13 To Open ACC Play
The California women's basketball team's 2026-27 conference schedule for its third season in the Atlantic Coast Conference was announced by the ACC office Wednesday. Game times and broadcast designations will be released at a later time.
Conference play will begin at home in the 107th edition of the Battle of the Bay against cross-town rivals Stanford on Dec. 13.
The Golden Bears' conference schedule includes nine games against teams that played in the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament highlighted by a home matchup against Sweet 16 participant North Carolina on Jan. 21. Including the 2026-27 nonconference schedule which has already been announced, Cal will face a total of 12 teams from last year's NCAA Tournament.
Other notable matchups at Haas Pavilion include the Bears taking on 2026 NCAA Tournament teams NC State (Jan. 7) and a weekend at home against previously mentioned North Carolina and Syracuse (Jan. 24).
After opening conference play at home against Stanford, the Bears head out for their first true conference road trip to face a pair of teams that made a run in last year's NCAA Tournament in Notre Dame (Elite 8) on Dec. 31 and Louisville (Sweet 16) on Jan. 3. Cal then returns to Haas Pavilion for its third straight game against a team from last year's NCAA Tournament in NC State on Jan. 7 before facing Miami on Jan. 10
The Bears will have a stretch of four consecutive games against 2026 NCAA Tournament opponents as they head on the road to take on Virginia (Sweet 16) on Jan. 28 and Virginia Tech (Jan. 31) following their weekend home slate against North Carolina and Syracuse.
Cal will have three straight road games at Stanford (Feb. 11), Clemson (Feb. 18) and SMU (Feb. 21) before closing out the conference schedule at home against Boston College (Feb. 25) and Pitt (Feb. 28).
Following the conclusion of the regular season, the ACC Tournament will take place March 3-7 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
