10 Gymnasts Earn WCGA Academic Honors

San Marcos, TX – Ten student-athletes from the California women's gymnastics team earned WGCA Academic Honors for the 2025-26 season, as announced Wednesday by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association. The Golden Bears also posted a team GPA of 3.2533, ranking 71st overall.

Those Golden Bears are Miki Aderinto, Casey Brown, CJ Keuneke, Brandi Kikuno, Sage Melkonian, Annalise Newman-Achee, Abbey Scanlon, Lucia Scott, Jayden Silvers, and Ondine Achampong, having a GPA of 3.5 or above, either cumulatively or during the past school year.

Brown, Aderinto and Melkonian earned the honor for the second consecutive year after also receiving WGCA Academic Honors in 2024-25.

The ten honorees are the second-most recipients Cal has had named to the list in school history after placing 11 Bears on the Scholastic All-American team in 2021.
