CALIFORNIA-CLEMSON LACROSSE HISTORY
— Cal and Clemson have played just once, with the Tigers a 19-3 winner over the Golden Bears at Clemson last March 29. Emily Moes scored two of Cal's goals in the contest, while Avery Hoeft accounted for the other. Courtney Wong had a pair of assists, while Jane Middleton had one.

BACK IN THE BAY
— After a three-game spring break road trip with the trio of contests spread out over eight days at Louisville (March 21), Xavier (March 24) and Notre Dame (March 29), the Bears will play their final three regular-season games in the Bay Area. The last two regular-season games at home are against No. 11 Clemson and Virginia Tech (April 11) before Cal plays a local road game at No. 10 Stanford (April 16). The Bears logged just under 12,000 air miles on four road trips outside the Bay Area during the 2026 regular season, including a pair of visits to the Eastern Time Zone.

LONG TRIPS TO BERKELEY
—Seven of the eight teams to visit California Memorial Stadium in 2026 have or will come from more than 2,500 miles away, with Friday's opponent Clemson checking in at 2,595. UC Davis, who visited Cal on Feb. 23, is the Bears' only 2026 home opponent in the Pacific Time Zone and located just over 60 miles away.

SUSTAINED IMPROVEMENT
— Cal has won six games in each of the last three seasons (2024, '25, '26) to give the Bears six or more wins in three consecutive campaigns for the first time since winning six or more games in each of the first 15 seasons of the program (1999-2013).

WHAT ONE, TWO, THREE MORE WINS MEAN
— One more win this season will give Cal seven in a campaign for the first since the 2019 team finished 7-12. It would also make it four consecutive seasons under head coach Jennifer Wong that the Bears would improve upon their winning percentage from the previous campaign.
— Two more wins in 2026 would get Cal to eight victories for the first time since the 2013 team went 9-7.
— Three more victories and Cal would finish at .500 or better, also for the first time since 2013.

LAST TIME OUT: NOTRE DAME 17, CAL 3
— Cal never led in a 17-3 loss last Saturday that was the final contest of a three-game, nine-day road trip that began with a 12-5 loss at Louisville and also included an 11-10 victory at Xavier.
— Willow Cyr, Alana Hsu, Maddie Willkomm and Meaghan Lynch each had a goal for the Bears, while Avery Hoeft posted her team and career-high 19th assist on Lynch's first career goal with 0:07 remaining in the contest. Hsu's goal came in her first career start.

TRIO OF WONG, MOES, HOEFT LEADING OFFENSE
— Courtney Wong has posted career highs and is Cal's leader in points (40) and goals (24) through 14 games. She also has a career-high-tying 16 assists and is second on the team, three behind Avery Hoeft's team and career-high 19. Emily Moes is second on the team with 30 points on 20 goals and a career-high 10 assists, while Hoeft has 27 points on eight goals and her career-high 19 assists

SINGLE-SEASON DRAW CONTROL RECORD WITHIN STRIKING DISTANCE
— Courtney Wong's 62 draw controls have moved her within 21 of Kennedy Goss' all-time single-season school record of 83 set in 2023. Wong would need to average 7.00 draw controls per game over the final three regular-season contests to tie the mark. Wong had a career-high 12 draw controls March 9 against Stonehill with other top games including contests at Oregon (9) and San Diego State (7).

PAGE SECOND IN ACC IN GROUND BALLS, EIGHTH NATIONALLY; CAL 3RD AND 11TH
— Clara Page is second in the ACC in ground balls and ranks eighth nationally with a career-high 39, as well as third in the conference in ground balls per game (2.79). As a team, Cal is third in the ACC and 11th nationally with 216 ground balls.

MURPHY TIED FOR LEAD AMONG NATION'S FRESHMEN IN SAVES
— Lulu Murphy, who started each of the first 13 games in goal for the Bears and has played in all 14 after coming off the bench for the first time last Saturday at Notre Dame, is tied for the lead among all freshman goalkeepers with 93 saves that rank tied for 20th nationally. Murphy is the first freshman to serve as Cal's primary starter in goal since Jenny Wilkens in 2016. Lily Rathbun also saw just over half of the team's time in net as a 2021 rookie.

RAND PICKS UP FIRST TWO WINS OF SEASON, MAKE SECOND CAREER START
— Despite Murphy's accolades, Chloe Rand has seen increased action between the pipes off the bench over Cal's last five games. Rand relieved Murphy at the end the first period against No. 1 North Carolina on March 12 and picked up a career-high-tying 10 saves, while allowing just nine goals during a 45:00 performance that tied for the second-longest of her career. Rand then earned her first win of the season and the third of her career after relieving Murphy again against Marist on March 16 with the Bears trailing 4-2 with 4:46 to go in the first period, allowing only five goals while making five saves during her 44:07 of action in a game the Bears won 18-10. After not playing at Louisville, she picked up her second win of the season and the third of her career at Xavier when she played the final 20:58 and limited the Musketeers to three goals while making five saves. Rand earned her first career start in Cal's most recent game last Saturday at Notre Dame and played 44:00, equaling her career-high with 10 saves. On the season, Rand has played in eight games with one start has recorded 37 saves while allowing 35 goals for a .514 save percentage.

GOOD IN ONE-GOAL GAMES
— Cal has a 3-1 record in one-goal games this season.
