Bears Head to The Goodwin
Cal Men’s Golf Travels To Stanford For 3-day, 54-hole clash
The California men's golf team continues its 2026 spring season, heading to The Goodwin in Stanford, Calif. Thursday.
The Golden Bears are one of 30 teams competing in the par-70, 6,742-yard course at Stanford Golf Course. Competition begins Thursday with the teams playing 18 holes each day.
The Bears will look to build off a strong outing at The Desimone Invitational in which Cal capped its best finish of the season in a tie for third place. In Cal's inaugural tournament, which ran March 9-10 in Daly City, freshman
Trevor Cox led the Bears with a career best 9-under par 207, finishing in a tie for fifth place. Fellow teammate
Sihao Cong shot a 5-over par 211, finishing in a tie for 13th place.
Freshman
Xihuan Chang also recorded a top-20 finish, shooting a 4-under par 212, good for a tie for 18th place, his second-best finish of the spring season.
The Bears will tee off beginning at 8 a.m. PT Thursday.
