Twidale Named To Preseason All-ACC Team
California women's basketball senior guard Lulu Twidale was one of 10 players across the Atlantic Coast Conference named to the Preseason All-ACC Team the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon. The list was voted on by the league's 18 coaches and members of the Blue Ribbon Panel. It marked the second conference-wide honor for Twidale as she was named to the All-ACC Second Team following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Already the Golden Bears' program record holder for both single-season (101) and career 3-pointers (236), she enters the 2026-27 season ranked second in the nation for active career triples and the only active player to have consecutive seasons with 94+ made 3-pointers. Twidale finished last season with 101 triples (fifth in the NCAA) and the 2025-26 season with 94 (13th in the NCAA).
In 2025-26, Twidale set career highs across the board in scoring (16.2), points (566), assists (128), 3-pointers (101), rebounds (138) and free throws made (109). She was among only four players in the nation to have three games with at least seven 3-pointers and posted three 30+ point games on the road which tied for the ACC lead and ranked fifth in the NCAA. Her best game of the year came when she scored a career-high 36 points while dishing nine assists to go along with eight 3-pointers at Boston College on Jan. 18 making her just the second player in NCAA since 1981-82 to record that stat line in a game.
Twidale and the Bears will begin the 2026-27 season hosting reigning NCAA Champions UCLA in an exhibition game at Haas Pavilion tomorrow at 6 p.m. PT.
