Seven Cal Softball Players Earn Academic Recognition

Student-Athletes Honored By ACC For Work In Classroom

Seven members of the 2025 California softball team have earned All-ACC Academic recognition, the conference office announced Thursday.

Seniors Acacia Anders, Kaylee Pond, Anna Reimers and Annabel Teperson, junior Ashanti McDade and sophomores Xiomei Geluz and Holly Medina all secured the honor for their work in the classroom.

It marks the third career conference academic accolade for Anders, Reimers and Teperson, who each were two-time selections to the Pac-12 Academic Honor roll before Cal moved to the ACC for the 2024-25 season. Pond took the conference award for the second time in her career.

Anders, Pond, Reimers and Teperson also each earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in May.

To be eligible for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team for softball, student-athletes must have at least a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and cumulatively over her career. Candidates must also have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's games; 20 percent for pitchers.
