The California lacrosse team continues its road trip with visits to No. 13 Duke and Winthrop this weekend. 

Cal is coming off a stunning comeback victory over Marist University on Monday. Marist took an early lead, but the Bears went on a 6-0 run and went on to a 14-10 win over the Red Foxes. 

The Bears and Blue Devils last met in a nonconference matchup in 2009, with Duke winning, 19-7. Friday's matchup will be the first between the teams as ACC opponents. Cal is still looking for its first conference win of the season.. 

Sunday's matchup will be the third between Winthrop and Cal. The Bears last hosted Winthrop at California Memorial Stadium in 2024 and defeated the Eagles, 14-3. The first-ever matchup was in 2020, when Cal won 11-7. The Eagles are coming off of a 14-12 loss to Old Dominion.
