BERKELEY - California opens the 2019 Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m. with its third meeting against Arizona State in 2019. The first two meetings both went the Golden Bears' way - a thrilling 12-11 overtime win in Tempe followed by a decisive 17-8 victory in Berkeley. With a win, the No. 4 seed Bears would face No. 1 seed and 17th-ranked USC in Friday's semifinals. The tournament takes place at Pape Field on the Oregon campus, and the entire tournament will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.

A win over ASU would surpass the previous year's overall season win total for the fifth straight year, every campaign in the Brooke Eubanks' era.

The last time Cal won a conference tournament game was the 2010 MPSF quarterfinals, a 20-11 victory over Saint Mary's. In the last year's inaugural Pac-12 Tournament, the Bears lost to Oregon in the first round, 22-9.

Although the regular season finale at Stanford didn't go the way Cal wanted it to, it was a memorable day for Eliza Christman. In addition to scoring five goals, the senior also set the school single-season record for draw controls, now with 77, which ranks third in the Pac-12.

Christman set a career-high of eight draws earlier this year vs. Denver, while Marisa Kuberra tallied nine at Colorado and Lizabanks Campagna amassed a season-best of 11 in the home meeting vs. Colorado. Their efforts have helped Cal to its Pac-12 ranking of second in draws.

Kirsten Swanson paces Cal in scoring this year with 48 points (37 goals, 11 assists). She has paced Cal in scoring in three of the last four games. Caroline Corzel is second on the team in points (37) and goals (32). Swanson ranks fifth in the Pac-12 in goals, while Corzel is second in the conference in shots per game (6.82). They are two of 13 Bears to have at least one goal this season and two of six to boast at least 12 on the year.

Nikki Zaccaro paces Cal with 21 assists this season that ranks fourth in the Pac-12. She posted a season-best six points vs. George Washington on March 1.

Also in the Pac-12 rankings, Jenny Wilkens ranks tied for second in ground balls with 47 on the season, which ranks third in school single-season history, five shy of the record. Wilkens set the school record for career ground balls at Colorado and currently boasts 166.

Cal will be wearing teal warmup shirts with the words "Cal Asks" on them, as well as teal-colored gear such as head bands and teal tape on their sticks to show support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Cal Asks refers to the theme of bringing the topic of prevention out in the open.
